Katie helped us with our triplets the day we came home from the hospital. We consulted with her regarding feeding, schedules, sleep, routine and in general, how to manage all three infants and our 3 year old toddler.  It was extremely helpful in organizing our hectic household and daily routine. By the middle of the of the 4th month, all three babies were sleeping through the night! We couldn’t believe it and neither could our friends or family. Katie is a lifesaver. This is our second time using Katie. She originally helped us get our 1-year-old sleeping through the night and when sickness majorly derailed our sleep routine, she was a huge resource in guiding us to getting him back on track. He went from refusing to sleep without being held (night and naps) to independently sleeping within 2 days and we couldn't be more thankful. Any parent who has experienced the exhaustion and desperateness that comes from a toddler who refuses to sleep will understand how invaluable her knowledge and tools are. She was incredibly responsive and always checked in to make sure we were doing ok.

Working with Katie has been a blessing to our family. My husband and I are first time parents to a two-year-old with special needs and we literally never slept through the night until we started working with Katie. As first time parents to twins, my wife and I found Katie’s expertise and unique skill set as a Newborn Care Specialist to be incredibly valuable. She is professional, knows how to handle NICU/preemie babies and is an excellent educator. Her proficiency in getting infants on an age appropriate routine, establishing healthy sleep habits and helping babies learn to sleep through the night is a wonderful talent and amazing gift for new families.

As soon as we met Katie we knew we had found the right person to care for Henry. She not only took great care of our son but also helped us address some sleep challenges he was having. He was held for the majority of his naps during the newborn period. At 3 months of age, he was transitioned to his crib and would only take 30-45 minute naps. As a result, he was overtired most days.

On the very first day, Katie had some great suggestions to his schedule and how Henry was prepped for naps that made an immediate difference. With Katie’s guidance, our son is now consistently taking a 1.5 hour morning nap, a 2-hour afternoon nap, and a 30-minute catnap. As a result of his improved nap schedule, Henry is also consistently sleeping 12 hours each night!

As a pediatrician who cares for infants and children on a daily basis, I would wholeheartedly recommend Katie to any family with a newborn, infant, or multiples. Our family was so lucky to find her. As a Newborn Care Specialist, Katie is trained to spot things that some parents may not be aware of such as positional plagiocephaly and torticollis. Our son had both, which we did not know, but she immediately pointed out. She readily made suggestions to keep it from rapidly progressing which included specific stretches, special swaddling and seeing a physical therapist.

When we found Katie, our twin 8-month-old boys were bed-sharing with us, bottle-fed to sleep, waking 2-3 times a night to feed, and had never slept in their cribs. We were in a bad place and I wasn’t sure how we were going to change it. I secretly hoped that maybe they’d just grow out of it.

At first, my husband was on the fence about hiring a sleep consultant but was willing to try anything to get the boys out of our bed and sleeping on their own.

The day before Katie arrived I asked my husband, “ Can you imagine what life would be like if this works?” He said, “ No, it is incomprehensible and it would be like we won the lotto.” I am forever grateful that we bought that “lotto ticket” and hired Katie.
