Professional Newborn Care

We’re here to support you during one of your family's most life changing events - welcoming your new baby! The arrival of a newborn often means a lot of changes for new parents. Many of these are wonderful - you now get to love and care for your precious baby! But infants often catch new parents off guard in one major area, SLEEP! Fragmented and broken sleep is tough for everyone in the family and it’s also a leading contributor to Postpartum Depression.

The Early Weeks is here to support your family day or night.

Our highly skilled and experienced newborn providers have a passion for working with, and caring for babies.

Your Newborn Care Provider is thoroughly screened and vetted through background and reference checks. Every provider is certified in infant CPR and First Aid, possesses a safe sleep certificate, and has many years of newborn care experience, which often includes twins or higher order multiples!

The Early Weeks is supported and recommended by Pediatricians, adoption/surrogacy clinics and OBGYN’s from all over the state of Idaho including: Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, Nampa, Eagle, Stanley, Sun Valley and Coeur d’ Alene.

Our Providers include Newborn Care Specialists, Night Nannies, Newborn Day Nannies and Postpartum Doulas.

Overnight Newborn Care

One of our most requested services from families is Overnight Newborn Care. Here’s an example of how this works:

Generally, team members will arrive between 9 or 10 pm and stay until 6 or 7 am. They will care for your baby(ies) all throughout the night, feeding (or taking to the mother to breastfeed), changing diapers, burping and settling your baby back to sleep. Up to 7 nights per week of care is available to your family, with the only minimum being an 8-hour nightly shift. Provider rates typically range from $25-35 per hour.

Looking for 24/7 around the clock care?

The Early Weeks can also help support your family with around the clock live-in care. This service is offered nationwide.

With Live-in care, family's can rely on having expert newborn care 18-20 hours per day for the duration that the care is secured. Typically the Newborn Care Specialist or Newborn Care Provider will be on the clock and available to care for you baby, between the hours of noon and 6/7am.

Please contact us here to learn more about live-in newborn care.

How soon can you book a provider?

We recommend booking Overnight Newborn Care or 24/7 around the clock care as early as your second trimester. Our Providers do get booked up to 6 months in advance! If your baby is already born and you would like relief care, or sleep learning, training or newborn consulting, please contact us.
