Placement Services - The Early Weeks

Babies are wonderful. So is a good night’s sleep.

At The Early Weeks, we provide peace of mind to new and experienced parents by being that extra help that is often needed when your baby comes home.

Our newborn and infant care professionals are here to help you. Here’s how we do it:

Professional Newborn Care

We’re here to support you during one of their most life changing events - welcoming your new baby! The arrival of a newborn often means a lot of changes for new parents. Many of these are wonderful - you now get to love and care for your precious baby! But infants often catch new parents off guard in one major area, SLEEP! Fragmented and broken sleep is tough for everyone in the family and it’s also a leading contributor to Postpartum Depression.

The Early Weeks is here to support your family day or night.

Our highly skilled and experienced newborn providers have a passion for working with and caring for babies.

Your Newborn Care Provider is thoroughly screened and vetted through background and reference checks. Every provider is certified in infant CPR and First Aid, possesses a safe sleep certificate, and has many years of newborn care experience, which often includes twins or higher order multiples!

The Early Weeks is supported and recommended by Pediatricians and OBGYN’s from all over the state of Idaho including: Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, Nampa, Eagle, Stanley, Sun Valley and Coeur d’ Alene.

Our Providers include Newborn Care Specialists, Night Nannies, Newborn Day Nannies and Postpartum Doulas.

Overnight Newborn Care

One of our most requested services from families is Overnight Newborn Care. Here’s an example of how this works:

Generally, team members will arrive between 9 or 10 pm and stay until 6 or 7 am. They will care for your baby(ies) all throughout the night, feeding (or taking to the mother to breastfeed), changing diapers, burping and settling your baby back to sleep. Up to 7 nights per week of care is available to your family, with the only minimum being an 8-hour nightly shift. Provider rates typically range from $25-35 per hour.

How soon can you book a provider?

We recommend booking Overnight Newborn Care as early as your second trimester. Our Providers do get booked up to 6 months in advance! If your baby is already born and you would like relief care, or sleep training/consulting, please contact us. We generally have Providers available to assist with last minute care needs as well.

Infant Daytime Nannies & Postpartum Doula Support

After your baby comes home many families often find themselves in need of an Infant Nanny to help with care. The families we have assisted love knowing that we have connected them with a reliable and trustworthy provider that is there to help care for their baby. We can help you with your infant too.

Our Newborn Nannies, Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists also go through our vetting process and have varied levels of experience caring for babies within different age groups. Most Providers have held longer term positions with multiple families of 1 year or more.

We take note of all your Provider preferences in your Family Application before a provider search is started. Please allow a minimum of 6 weeks to be matched with your ideal care provider. Rates for infant care providers and postpartum doulas generally range from $18-35 per hour, with three different search packages to choose from.

You aren’t alone. We’re here to help you!
